Our amazing book reviews!

Journal Writing in Totara 2!

Dear Journal,
It was an ordinary day I was at the phoenix game when the ground shook like a stamped of wild animals. A bomb crashed on the ball! I was devastated, the crowd ran for their lives, although the bomb didn’t go off. A tank burst out of no where airplanes flew over the stadium sending the city in panic.

Dear Journal,
I quickly ran out of the stadium. A bomb went off on the other side of town! The bomb sent a huge cloud of dust annihilating all that stood before it. When it reached me I flew like a birdie through the stadium and landed on a soldier. Every thing went black, an hour later I awoke in a daze, my vision was blurry. Why couldn’t I move! Metal straps were tied to my arms and legs Bam! I was unconscious.

Dear Journal,
I had finally awoke from what seemed like days. My head was in agony, the room was dark. I stood up the blinding lights appeared I hid my eyes. Two scientists entered the room, this was my chance.

Dear Journal,
I walked up to the men, SMACK!! I whacked one of them and sprinted out into the corridor the door locked behind me. Two guards’ came walking around the corner ‘Hey you! Stop right there!’’ ‘Uh oh’ .One of them tried to whack me with his baton but luckily I caught it and broke his arm the other one ran for his life. I looked at the crying mans name tag. Greg was his name I smack the baton on his head and was unconscious.

Dear Journal,
I ran down a long dark hall way with no idea for what’s going on or that someone was following me. I was nearly there; a light was glimmering in front a door was at the end I reached for the handle. Clang! A man stood behind and an almost hit me ‘Your not getting out’’. Quickly grabbing the baton I smashed it and launched out the door leaving the horrible place behind. A group of angry buff guards came running towards me.2 minutes later. I kicked a man’s gut and sprinted away home.

Journal Writing in Totara 2!

Dear Journal,
In the weekend I went to see an awesome movie called Journey to the mysteries island 2.Its when a boy and his dad found a hidden island using 3 books to uncover the secret. So they went to a city called polka and met a guy that said they had to pay him $9000 to get a rid in their helicopter so they said ok.The introduced his daughter to the dad and the boy. Then they all got in the helicopter and used the map that they had to try and find the island. The clouds started to form around them and in the foggy sky they saw a huge tornado. They were rocking side to side. The boy read the book and it said that they had to go in to the tornado to get to the island.

Dear Journal,
So they decided to go into the tornado as soon as they entered the frightening tornado. They all hanged on then suddenly everything went black. Then the boy woke up to find himself lying down on the beach with his dad trying to wake him up and the helicopter crashed in the sea. The girl and the other dad walked to find the boy and they went into the forest by the beach.

Dear Journal,
When they went into the forest they came to an open space they were walking over some weird looking rocks. Suddenly it started to crack and the guy fell through it.Then they realised it was giant eggs. The bush started to move then a huge giant lizard with sharp teeth and a long sticky tongue came out and started to chase them.as they were running from the lizard. They hid behind a tree but suddenly a big log hit the lizard and it fell down to the ground. Then a man swung down with a vine the boy knew that the man was his granddad that came here to find the island. He said you should be more careful and the man brought them to his shelter and they slept there for the night.

Dear Journal,
In the morning they woke up in the blur of their eyes. They could see the sun shining down on their face but then the boy looked at the volcano. Lava was coming down it he said we have to build a raft. Lava is coming our way they all ran back to the beach and started building. The boy and his dad ran up the hill. Liquefaction was running down the hill they jumped over it they found a weird tomb that had a large circle and had a compass in it. They poured some water in the compass it said that they had to go south. So they ran back to the raft and by then they had built it. They all got on it just in time before the lava reached them. They went home never forgetting this experience.

Journal Writing in Totara 2!

Dear Journal,

There I was swimming in the ocean. It was a perfect day the waves were just right, the sun was shining; the seagulls were gliding through the air. I was doing a flip in the water when suddenly a humongous wave pushed me over. The wave was so big that the wave swept me up on a deserted island. I figured that the wave was a tsunami. I looked up and there was no sun and no seagulls gliding through the air. Just grey dull sky…
Dear Journal,

Today was exciting; I explored the island. I saw coconut trees, palm trees, golden sand and monkeys! At the corner of my eye I spotted a tree house. Forty minutes later I was finally there. I climbed up a rope and it led me to a bamboo door. I creaked the door open and there right in the middle of the room was a shiny, glossy, green surf board.
Dear Journal,

All of a sudden I rushed over to check the surfboard out. It was a shiny, glossy, greenboard.I didn’t wanna be a criminal or anything but I didn’t wanna be stuck here either. I had made up my mind. I grabbed the surf board and headed out the door towards the ocean. I started to get the hang of it. When suddenly I saw a humongous wave coming towards me. I started to paddle but I was too late. (It was a nightmare all over again).I knew it I was stranded on the deserted island. Then I saw sun shining upon me and seagulls were gliding and the waves were calm. I was finally on the shore back home.

Journal Writing in Totara 2!

Dear Journal,
I stepped into a forest. The leaves crunched under my new Nike trainers. I came up to a cliff. The path ended, but I had to get over some way. I grabbed the branch closest to me and made my way up the tree. When I was at the top I could see what was at the bottom of the cliff. All I saw was a dark gap. I noticed a tree at the other side of the gap. I took a deep breath and jumped. “I can fly”! I shouted at the top of my voice. I hit the tree at the other side and slid to the bottom of the cliff. I started crying. I was in the middle of nowhere sitting on a rock crying.

Dear Journal,
I was still sitting on the rock when I noticed that the tide was going in. After a few minutes the water was already touching my feet. I tried to climb back up the cliff but it was no use. Suddenly an idea struck me, I reached into my pocket, but my phone was not there. I sat back down on the rock it was already damp from the water. What was I going to do?

Dear Journal,
The water was already up to my chin but it didn’t stop there, it kept going until it was up to my hair. I had to try and stay on the surface of the water. It was really hard. The water was pulling me towards a water fall. I tried to swim against the mini rip but it was no use. All of a sudden the water was pulling me down. I had entered the water fall. It was like a water slide, except it was going straight down. When it reached the bottom, my head was really dizzy. I jumped out of the river and landed on long soft grass. I sat there thinking what to do next.

Dear Journal,
As I got up from the long soft grass, I heard neighing; I turned around and saw a beautiful horse. It was a brown stallion. His mane and tail were pure black and he had white socks on his front two legs. He stopped two metres in front of me. I ran up to him and jumped onto his back.” I’ll call you Hazel” I said. I grabbed his mane and hit my legs against his body. We started trotting, then we cantered and then…we galloped.

Dear Journal,
After a while I and Hazel arrived at the nearest village. I put my hand into my pocket and pulled out $15.I bought some carrots for Hazel. Around two hours of travelling we reached my house. I put horse shoes on Hazel and let him run around the field. I thought about what had happened earlier. I was never  going to the woods by myself!!!
